Self-Portrait Tuesday #7
Here it is. No mask, no smile, all the wrinkles, the freckles, the red splotches from the cold air. I took this photo this past fall under my favorite tree in the yard. The breeze was blowing the last of the leaves from the trees, sandhill cranes circling overhead readying for their southbound flight. I'm not sure why I look so serious, maybe it is knowledge of the cold, dark winter just around the corner, maybe I was sad that the leaves were falling so quickly, a bad mood, PMS, who knows? All I know is that I snapped this photo knowing full well it wasn't perfect, and I kept it, because sometimes it is good to see yourself without the mask. Raw, and open to the world.
Take a peek at other brave souls putting it all out there.

you~pretty~you.
so enjoyed the peek at other's bravery.
