Good morning friends. Here I am trying to get back in the self-portrait frame of mind again. The theme this month is to introduce yourself, and boy you have already heard a lot about me. I clicked this picture first thing this morning, before I've brushed my hair, or washed my face. This is the way I normally visit the blogs I read, half in my pajamas, a cup of tea next to me, here I am, still a little sleepy. I thought I would share a few of my oddities over the course of the month. So, here are a few morning oddities.
~I have a hard time talking to anyone first thing in the morning. I generally shuffle down from the loft, make tea and go straight for the computer without a word. I need this transistion time before I am ready to meet the day.
~I sleep tightly curled on my side with my hands crammed either under the pillow or next to my chest. My wrists are often asleep or stiff by the time I wake up.
~The first thing I hear almost every morning when I wake up is my rooster, Diego, crowing.
~The second thing is the dog toenail tap dancing across the floor downstairs, begging to go out.
~I can't eat breakfast right when I wake up, in fact I often forgo breakfast in favor of lunch because I wait too long to eat.
~I prefer to do my yoga practice in the morning, but it often ends up waiting until the evening.
~ I am the most motivated to work first thing in the morning, words flow more easily and my concentration is better. By 3 in the afternoon I am a lost cause.
